Instructions Issued to Avoid Missing Exams
The board has once again instructed candidates to reach examination centers early. Students have been advised to arrive at least one hour before the exam begins. Entry to the examination hall will be closed thirty minutes before the scheduled start time.
The board stated that strict rules are necessary to maintain examination integrity. Candidates were advised to leave home keeping traffic and weather conditions in mind. Officials made it clear that late entry would not be permitted under any circumstances.
These instructions were issued after multiple incidents of students missing exams due to late arrival. The board reiterated that timing discipline is crucial for all candidates.
Strict Arrangements at Examination Centers
The Bihar Board 12th examination began on Monday across Muzaffarpur district. The exam was conducted at 81 centers under tight security. Strict measures were enforced to ensure a malpractice-free examination environment.
As per board guidelines, students were not allowed to wear shoes or socks. Due to cold weather, several candidates appeared barefoot at centers. Many students struggled due to the harsh conditions.
On the first day, administrative arrangements were also tested. Several centers faced issues related to staffing and infrastructure. Authorities were seen rushing to manage last-minute challenges.
Delays Cause Students to Miss Examinations
Due to late arrival, more than 100 candidates missed their examination across multiple centers. This situation occurred during the first shift. At several centers, students reached after the permitted entry time.
At MSKB and other centers, female students waited outside gates until 9:30 am. They pleaded for entry but were denied access. Many students were seen crying outside examination centers.
Students claimed they reached the centers at 9:02 am. However, officials continued discussions and did not allow entry. Later, students were informed that the time had crossed 9:30 am.
Parents Express Anger Over Strict Enforcement
The incident led to anger among parents present at examination centers. They argued that it was the first day of the exam. Parents requested leniency for minor delays.
Many parents stated that a delay of two or three minutes should not ruin a student’s future. They demanded humane consideration from authorities. However, officials maintained their stance.
Center superintendents and magistrates stated that CCTV surveillance was active. They said no flexibility was possible under strict monitoring. Officials claimed they were bound by board instructions.
Students Share Their Experience Outside Centers
A student named Priya broke down while speaking to officials. She said she was coming from Zeromile. Traffic congestion at Akharaghat bridge caused a two-minute delay.
Despite her explanation, she was not allowed to enter the center. Similar complaints were reported from other candidates. Many students blamed traffic and administrative delays.
At center codes 3153 and 3131, videographers had not arrived until 8:39 am. Candidate entry time had already begun at 8:30 am. This created confusion and chaos at the gates.
At center code 3172, police personnel arrived late. Entry procedures were affected due to the absence of security staff. At L.S. College center, candidates were seen running to enter on time.
Due to the rush, several students slipped and fell near the gate. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. However, the incident raised concerns about crowd management.
Special Exam to Address Missed Opportunities
In view of these incidents, the special examination announcement has brought relief. The board aims to ensure that deserving candidates get another chance. Officials believe this will restore confidence among students.
The Bihar School Examination Board has assured transparency in the process. Students who missed exams due to strict timing or administrative issues can apply. The board wants to avoid repetition of such incidents.
This decision is expected to benefit a large number of affected candidates. Students are advised to stay alert for official notifications. The special examination may prove crucial in saving an academic year.
Overall, the situation has highlighted the need for better coordination at centers. While discipline remains essential, authorities may review arrangements. The upcoming special exam is seen as a corrective step by the board.
