Bihar Weather Update : Fog, Clouds, and Temperature Fluctuations Continue Across the State

The weather in Bihar continues to puzzle residents as changing conditions dominate several districts. According to the latest weather forecast, the state is likely to experience dry conditions over the next 24 hours. However, light rainfall may occur at one or two locations in the southwestern districts on the following day, while the rest of Bihar is expected to remain dry.

Fog and Cloud Cover Affect Visibility in Several Districts

Different districts of Bihar are witnessing varied weather patterns, creating challenges for daily life. On Tuesday, cloud cover and fog are expected to persist in many areas. Dense fog is likely in districts located in the northwestern parts of the state. Other regions may see a gradual rise in temperatures, offering limited relief from cold conditions.

On Monday morning, fog covered several districts, significantly reducing visibility. Chhapra recorded the lowest visibility level at just 50 meters. Many cities reported an increase in maximum temperatures, while minimum temperatures dropped, intensifying cold conditions during the evening and early morning hours.

The Meteorological Department has indicated that Kaimur and Rohtas districts may receive rainfall at one or two locations during the day. This precipitation is expected to be light and localized, with no widespread rainfall activity predicted.

Dry Weather to Prevail, Light Rain Possible in Southwest Bihar

The weather department stated in its forecast issued on Monday that Bihar will remain dry for the next 24 hours. After that period, light rain may occur at isolated places in the southwestern districts. Other parts of the state are expected to continue experiencing dry weather.

During the next two days, light to moderate fog is likely during the morning hours at one or two places in western and south-central Bihar. Fog conditions may affect visibility during early hours but are expected to clear as the day progresses.

Temperature Trends: Gradual Rise Expected

Over the next 48 hours, maximum temperatures at many locations in Bihar are expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. After this period, no significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over the following 72 hours.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted a gradual rise in minimum temperatures across many districts. Over the next 48 hours, minimum temperatures may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. After that, temperatures are likely to stabilize, with no major change anticipated over the next three days.

These changes indicate a slow transition in weather conditions, although cold mornings and nights will continue to be felt in several parts of the state.

Muzaffarpur Sees Temperature Fluctuations Due to Changing Winds

Muzaffarpur district continues to experience fluctuating temperatures due to constant changes in wind speed. On Monday, a reduction in wind speed led to a noticeable rise in the maximum temperature by nearly two degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature dropped by two degrees, resulting in increased cold during evening hours.

Wind speed decreased from 10 kilometers per hour to around 7 kilometers per hour, contributing to the temperature variation. Despite these fluctuations, partial improvement in weather conditions is expected on Tuesday.

Dr. A. Sattar, Nodal Officer at the Rural Meteorological Center in Pusa, stated that the weather is likely to clear completely from Tuesday onwards. Both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to rise gradually in the coming days.

Expected Temperature Range in Coming Days

In Muzaffarpur and surrounding areas, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures may remain between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius. These conditions suggest slightly warmer days, though mornings and nights may still feel cold.

On Monday, the maximum temperature in the district was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, which was 1.1 degrees above the normal average. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature dropped to 6.5 degrees Celsius, which was 3.7 degrees below the normal level.

Cold Nights Likely Despite Daytime Warmth

While daytime temperatures may continue to rise gradually across Bihar, cold nights are expected to persist in several districts. Fog and reduced wind speed are contributing factors to this pattern. Residents are advised to remain cautious during early morning hours, especially in areas prone to dense fog.

Overall, Bihar’s weather is expected to remain largely stable, with dry conditions dominating most regions. Isolated rainfall, foggy mornings, and moderate temperature fluctuations will continue to define the weather pattern over the next few days.
