A disturbing incident has unfolded in Danapur, Patna, where a young girl was allegedly pushed to her death by her boyfriend from the third floor of an apartment building. The accused man, after the fatal fall, reportedly abandoned her body at the IGIMS Hospital. While the police continue their investigation, they are considering the possibility of murder based on the details uncovered so far.
The Tragic Fall from the Third Floor
The horrifying incident took place in Soho Nirmala Apartment, located in Ashokpuri, RK Puram, Danapur. The victim and the accused had been residing together in Flat No. 306 of the apartment building since September 9, 2025. The apartment was rented out for Rs 8,000 per month. The owner of the apartment, Akhilanand Singh, informed the police that the couple presented themselves as husband and wife during the rental agreement. The name provided on the rental agreement was Amit Kumar, son of Vimal Singh, a resident of Kesari Nagar, Patna. However, the Aadhaar card details provided by the man were later discovered to be fake.
The police investigation suggests that the accused man pushed the girl from the third floor of the apartment, a height of approximately 65 feet. This tragic fall resulted in her immediate death. The incident was captured in clear detail by CCTV cameras installed at a nearby private school, although the apartment building itself only had cameras in the parking area. The CCTV footage from the school provides a clear sequence of events, showing the girl falling from the balcony.
The Body Abandoned at IGIMS
Following the incident, the accused reportedly took the unconscious body of the girl to IGIMS (Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences) Hospital. CCTV footage from the hospital shows the man dragging the unconscious body of the girl with the help of an auto driver. He left the body near the emergency OPD at approximately 4:12 pm on September 30. After abandoning the body, the man fled the scene, leaving no trace behind.
Hospital security personnel immediately alerted the police outpost on the campus, which led to the Shastri Nagar police being notified. However, by the time the authorities arrived, the girl had already passed away without receiving any medical treatment. Her body was then taken to the IGIMS mortuary.
Investigation Unfolds: Fake Identity, Missing Mobile Phone
The investigation team traced the case back to Danapur after matching the incident timeline with the fall from the apartment balcony. A murder case was subsequently registered at the Danapur police station. Forensic experts from the FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) were called in to inspect the apartment. They discovered clothes and personal belongings scattered around the flat, suggesting that a struggle had occurred before the victim fell.
Further investigations revealed that the Aadhaar card number provided by the accused, Amit Kumar, was fake. Additionally, the victim’s mobile phone was missing, leading the police to believe that the accused had stolen it. It is also suspected that the accused fled the scene on his Bullet motorcycle. After leaving the motorcycle near a main road, he used an auto-rickshaw to transport the girl’s body to IGIMS, located around seven kilometers away.
Attempts to Identify the Victim and the Accused
Despite the presence of clear CCTV footage showing both the victim and the accused, neither of their identities has been confirmed. In an effort to identify the girl, the Shastri Nagar Police Station Officer, Ravindra Kumar, circulated her image across police WhatsApp groups in various districts. The police are also in the process of gathering more details and information to uncover her identity.
Meanwhile, the school authorities, who were witnesses to the fall, confirmed that they immediately contacted Dial 112 to alert the authorities after seeing the incident. However, the accused man managed to flee with the victim’s body before the police could reach the scene.
Ongoing Investigation and Appeal for Information
Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, the Officer in Charge of Danapur Police Station, shared that the investigation is being carried out from multiple angles. He confirmed that the CCTV footage from both the school and IGIMS has been secured. The forensic team has also conducted an inspection of the flat where the incident occurred. The police continue to focus on identifying both the victim and the suspect.
Patna Police have made a public appeal for any information that could help identify the girl or the accused. The investigation is ongoing, with the authorities examining call records, rental verification details, and speaking with local witnesses in the hopes of tracing the suspect.
This shocking incident in Danapur has left the local community in disbelief. With the police now investigating the case from all possible angles, the possibility of murder looms large. While CCTV footage has provided crucial clues, the investigation is far from over, as the authorities continue to piece together the details of the victim’s and the accused’s identities.
The police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and help bring justice to the victim. As the investigation progresses, it remains to be seen whether the authorities can uncover the full details behind this tragic and disturbing case. The investigation continues to unfold, and updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
