Realme has recently introduced the Realme C85 5G in Vietnam as part of its budget 5G smartphone lineup. According to new reports, this model could soon make its way to India, with its launch expected by the end of this month. Realme aims to expand its C-series range in the country with the introduction of the C85 5G, which is expected to be similar to the Realme 15x that was launched in India last month.
Realme C85 5G: Features and Pricing in India
The Realme C85 5G will reportedly feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera and support 45W fast charging. These specifications set it apart from the Realme 15x, which comes with a 50-megapixel front camera and 60W SuperVOOC wired charging support. The Realme C85 5G is expected to be priced slightly lower than the Realme 15x, which starts at ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in India.
The C85 5G launch could offer an affordable 5G option for budget-conscious consumers, further increasing Realme’s presence in the Indian smartphone market. The C-series is known for its impressive features at competitive prices, making it a popular choice in the budget segment.
Upcoming Launch of Redmi 15C and Redmi Note 15 Series
In addition to Realme, Redmi is also preparing to launch several new models in India. According to the same tipster who reported on the Realme C85 5G launch, the Redmi 15C is set to debut in India by the end of this month. While it remains unclear whether the 15C will be a 4G or 5G variant, both options are available in select global markets.
The Redmi 15C 4G model comes with the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, while the Redmi 15C 5G features the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which ensures better performance and connectivity for users who prioritize faster internet speeds. Pricing for the Redmi 15C will likely be competitive, offering a budget-friendly option for those looking to switch to a new smartphone without breaking the bank.
Furthermore, the Redmi Note 15 series is also expected to be launched in India, though its release date has been set for January 2026 or later. This series, which includes the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+, was initially launched in China in August 2025. These phones are expected to follow a similar pricing strategy to the Redmi Note 14 series, offering a range of premium features at a mid-range price.
With both Realme and Redmi gearing up for significant launches, the competition in the budget and mid-range smartphone market in India is set to intensify. The Realme C85 5G and Redmi 15C are expected to capture the attention of consumers looking for affordable 5G smartphones. Meanwhile, the upcoming Redmi Note 15 series will likely attract those seeking more premium features and performance. Stay tuned for more updates as these phones make their way to India in the coming months.
