With the political atmosphere heating up in Bihar ahead of the 2025 state elections, Tejashwi Yadav, the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan, made a significant statement at the Patna Airport. As the second phase of election campaigning draws to a close, Tejashwi Yadav addressed the press before leaving for an election rally. In his remarks, he emphasized the positive mood in the state and the public’s eagerness for change.
Tejashwi Yadav Speaks on the Final Day of Election Campaigning
Tejashwi Yadav’s comments come as the election campaign enters its final day. Today also marks his birthday, but despite the personal occasion, he was fully immersed in electioneering, addressing rallies and engaging with voters. Before heading to a rally, Tejashwi shared his optimism about the election outcome. He said that the atmosphere in Bihar was very positive, with the people casting their votes for change.
He further added that the public had shown strong support for the Mahagathbandhan and expressed confidence that they would continue to vote for a better future. According to Tejashwi, Bihar’s people are eager for reforms and have rallied behind the cause of development and empowerment.
Criticism of Prime Minister and Central Government
Tejashwi Yadav also made pointed remarks about the lack of discussion surrounding key issues like reservation and employment. He stated that neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor any central ministers have spoken about the 65% reservation that his government had implemented over the past 17 months. According to Tejashwi, the Prime Minister and other ministers are ignoring crucial topics such as education, employment, and irrigation in Bihar. He accused the central government of being silent on the benefits they have provided to Gujarat while neglecting the needs of Bihar.
Tejashwi also took a jibe at the government’s focus on Gujarat, saying, “While Gujarat talks about factories, what about the situation in Bihar with issues like illicit firearms and crime?” He suggested that the central government should stop making baseless comparisons and focus on addressing the needs of Bihar, particularly in areas like education and employment.
Concerns Over EVMs and Voter Fraud
In his address, Tejashwi also raised concerns regarding the fairness of the election process. There have been growing allegations from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) about possible tampering with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Tejashwi questioned how certain VVPAT slips had been found outside and demanded answers from the Election Commission. He further pointed out that in several locations, the CCTV footage related to the elections had been mysteriously erased.
Tejashwi demanded a thorough and unbiased investigation into these incidents, stressing that any attempt at vote manipulation would not be tolerated. He emphasized that the people of Bihar are voting overwhelmingly for change and that the integrity of the election must be upheld. The RJD has voiced its concerns about the alleged irregularities, and Tejashwi urged the Election Commission to ensure a fair process.
BJP’s Alleged One-Sided Loss
Meanwhile, in support of Tejashwi, senior RJD leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav made a bold claim that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was losing the election in a one-sided manner. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for engaging in issues unrelated to governance, such as discussing firearms, while failing to address crucial development topics like Bihar’s growth.
Sanjay Yadav also urged the Prime Minister to account for the 11 years of governance by the central government, asking what concrete steps the BJP had taken for Bihar during its tenure. He said that it was time for the Prime Minister to speak on real issues and explain his government’s contribution to Bihar’s progress.
Tejashwi’s Call for Accountability
Tejashwi’s comments were a clear call for accountability from the central government. He has repeatedly highlighted the disparity in development between Bihar and other states, particularly in areas like education, employment, and infrastructure. He believes that Bihar has been systematically neglected and that the time for change has come.
In his final remarks, Tejashwi made a direct appeal to the voters of Bihar, urging them to vote for a new beginning. He stated that the people of Bihar were tired of broken promises and wanted a government that would work for their betterment. The Mahagathbandhan, he argued, was the only alliance capable of bringing about the change Bihar so desperately needs.
As the election campaign enters its final hours, the political landscape in Bihar is charged with anticipation. Tejashwi Yadav’s statements, both about the current state of affairs and the future of the state, have struck a chord with many voters. His call for change and accountability resonates with those who feel that Bihar has not received its due share of development and attention from the central government.
The Mahagathbandhan’s focus on issues like reservation, education, employment, and infrastructure has captured the imagination of the electorate. Tejashwi’s leadership and the unity within the alliance have made it a formidable force in the ongoing election.
As the final day of campaigning unfolds, all eyes are on Bihar. The fate of the state will be decided in the upcoming polls, with voters expected to make their voices heard on what they believe is the right path forward. Whether Tejashwi’s vision of change will resonate with the people of Bihar or whether the BJP will maintain its dominance remains to be seen, but it is clear that this election is shaping up to be one of the most significant in recent memory.
As the election day approaches, the stakes are high, and both the Mahagathbandhan and the BJP are gearing up for a tough battle. The people of Bihar are ready to cast their votes, and the result will determine the future direction of the state’s growth and development.
