KVS NVS Recruitment 2025 : Apply for 14,967 Vacancies in Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts

Details of KVS and NVS Vacancies

A total of 14,967 vacancies have been released, divided between KVS and NVS. Of these, 9,126 vacancies are for KVS, and 5,841 are for NVS.

In KVS, the following positions are available:

  • Assistant Commissioner Group A: 08

  • PGT (Post Graduate Teachers): 1465

  • TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers): 2794

  • Librarian: 147

  • PRT (Primary Teachers including Special Educator, PRT Music): 3365

  • Non-Teaching positions (Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Section Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer Grade 1, Stenographer Grade 2): 1155

In NVS, the vacancies are as follows:

  • Assistant Commissioner (Academic) Group A: 09

  • PGT: 1513

  • PGT (Modern Indian Languages): 18

  • TGT (Third Language): 443

  • Non-Teaching positions (Junior Secretariat Assistant Headquarters and RO Cadre, Junior Secretariat Assistant JNV Cadre, Lab Attendant, MTS Headquarters and RO Cadre): 787

Eligibility Criteria and Age Limits

The minimum age limit for all positions is 18 years. There are specific age limits for different roles:

  • Primary Teacher: Maximum 30 years

  • TGT Teacher: Maximum 35 years

  • PGT Teacher: Maximum 40 years

  • Vice-Principal: 35-45 years

  • Principal: 35-50 years

  • Assistant Commissioner: Maximum 50 years

Candidates from SC and ST categories will be given a relaxation of 5 years, while OBC candidates will get a 3-year age relaxation.

For the Primary Teacher (PRT) role, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or B.L.Ed, along with passing the CTET Paper I exam.

For the Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) role, candidates should have passed the 12th grade and must have typing speeds of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

For the MTS position, candidates should have completed their 10th grade.

Exam Pattern

For all positions except for NVS MTS, the Tier-1 exam pattern will be common. The exam will be OMR-based with multiple-choice questions. The total duration of the exam will be two hours, and each question will carry three marks. There will be a negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer.

The breakdown of the exam for most positions will be:

  • General Reasoning: 20 questions, 60 marks

  • Numerical Ability: 20 questions, 60 marks

  • Basic Computer Literacy: 20 questions, 60 marks

  • General Awareness: 20 questions, 60 marks

  • Language Proficiency (English): 10 questions, 30 marks

  • Language Proficiency (Modern Indian Languages): 10 questions, 30 marks

Candidates will have to choose one language from Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, or Urdu. This choice cannot be changed later.

For NVS MTS, the exam pattern will be slightly different, focusing more on general awareness, computer operations, and language proficiency.

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official recruitment links available on the CBSE, KVS, and NVS websites. The application fee for various positions is as follows:

  • For Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice-Principal: Rs. 2800 (General, OBC, EWS)

  • For Senior/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer, JSA, Lab Attendant, MTS: Rs. 1700 (General, OBC, EWS)

  • For PGT, TGT, PRT, and other teaching positions: Rs. 2000 (General, OBC, EWS)

  • For SC, ST, and Divyang candidates: Rs. 500 for all positions
