Required Educational Qualifications
To apply for these positions, candidates must hold a BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) degree along with an MD in the relevant subject. An internship from a recognized institution is mandatory for eligibility.
Age Criteria and Relaxation
The minimum age limit for all applicants is 27 years and the maximum is 45 years. Age relaxation will be applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories, as per Bihar government norms. For instance, female applicants and candidates from OBC or EBC backgrounds will get an age relaxation up to 48 years. For SC/ST candidates, the age limit extends to 50 years.

Applicants must have a BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) degree with a postgraduate degree in the respective subject. They must have completed an internship and be registered with the Bihar State Ayurvedic and Unani Medical Council. PG degrees must be recognized by the council. Degrees obtained from foreign universities will not be considered valid for this recruitment.
88 Assistant Professor Posts in Ayurvedic Colleges
Prior to the above announcements, BPSC had issued another notification for 88 Assistant Professor vacancies in Government Ayurvedic Colleges located in Patna and Begusarai. The application process for these posts is ongoing, and the last date to apply is August 8, 2025.
Qualification Requirements for Ayurvedic Faculty
Candidates must hold a BAM&S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine or National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). A PG qualification in the concerned subject, which must also be recognized by the above bodies, is mandatory. Applicants must also have completed a compulsory internship. Importantly, candidates must have obtained a Teacher Code as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
